West Ham manager David Moyes talked to the media following his team's match against Dinamo Zagreb.
I already know that the match would be difficult since our opponent has a reputation for producing highly fascinating players.
But, if you're going to use Declan Rice as an example, I hope it's something new.
The majority of the club's players have never played in Europe, however several have, such as Tomas Soucek, Vladimir Coufal, and even Yarmolenko.
We are, and I am ecstatic at the prospect of not knowing how amazing they can be. Difficulties will arise.
When asked if there has been any change with England international Declan Rice, he stated.
Yes, I am convinced that what he is attempting to accomplish is to elevate himself to the next level. He's an excellent player who is only getting better. In his performance tonight, he showed this.
You should also be aware that he is still a young athlete, 22 years old, and a young brilliant man with a bright future and a great career ahead of him. He's taking it one step at a time, but he's doing an excellent job for us.
I've really enjoyed seeing him on the pitch from what I've seen so far. I am convinced that he requires more time to adjust to our way of life and become acquainted with us, our pace, and the way we play. He is, nevertheless, a bright young guy. He's fantastic, you'll know that much more than I do; he's dedicated, driven, and he'll be fantastic for us. What I'm looking for are his goals and assists. I want it all, regardless of whether he plays 7, 10, or 11.
And I trust in him and know he can deliver it very well, so I thought today was a great day for him, and that returning to Croatia was a great place for him to start. And we'll give him an opportunity by bringing him on, aiming for a solid performance in one of the world's best leagues.
You're right. I could need him at that point, so thank you for your advice!
Did you anticipate you to be more active on the field, more attacking in your approach to your opponent, Dinamo?
Well, I genuinely like them, and what came to mind was the 3-0 victory against Tottenham last year, which was very much in my thoughts since that was a wonderful and superb performance on the field, as well as the performance when they went to the London club. Tottenham was a fantastic achievement for him.
On my own, I knew my lads were capable of that level of performance when it came to the field of play. I feel that the way we've been playing has made things difficult for many teams right now.
When it comes to our counter-attack, we have a very strong group led by England International Declan. One of our finest assets, and we're finding that we're not getting enough chances to capitalize on it right now.
Declan's run in England's center midfield was cut short when he looked up and spotted his buddy Antonio; in the past, he might have cut it shorter.
Is that something you'd like to see him do more of, along with his celebration in front of his home crowd?
