According to ESPN, Barcelona will consider all offers for Konrad De la Fuente, the star winger for Barça B. Both Konrad and Alex Collado, according to the club, need to compete at a higher level than the third division.
Konrad would find it extremely difficult to break into the first team, even for a few minutes, because the team is already stacked with forwards. His new deal expires in 2022. Barça, like the rest of the youth players, has the option to extend the contract until 2024.
Given the Catalan club's precarious financial state, it is imperative that some funds be brought in. According to the board, the American winger may be one of the players for whom a large fee is requested. Rather than a loan, the club will pursue a permanent contract. The board will, however, have a buy-back option in the contract, as it does in many previous cases.
For a long time, Konrad has been regarded as one of the best players in the world. In the first team, the American had a fantastic pre-season. He was one of the players who was always called up for first-team matches and training because of his string of good results. This season, however, he has only played 9 minutes for the first team.
The American star kid has not had a very good season with the B team, contrary to his pre-season results. In 15 games in the third tier, Konrad had two assists and two goals. However, due to traveling with the first team, the number of appearances has been reduced.
Given the circumstances, it seems that moving away is the best option for both parties. The buy-back clause in the contract gives Barça the option of bringing the player back to Camp Nou if he succeeds at his new club.
